Singing

Tristan Stocks · Tenor

Tristan Stocks is an operatic tenor whose performing career spans opera, operetta, concert work and international touring. A high-lying leggiero tenor, his repertoire embraces roles requiring vocal agility, flexibility and expressive lyricism. With a particular affinity for the theatrical traditions of opera and operetta, he combines musical performance with a strong sense of character, storytelling and stagecraft.

Opera & Operetta

Tristan has performed a wide range of principal tenor roles with companies including Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Buxton Festival, Mid Wales Opera, Britten Pears Arts, Iford Arts, Opera Anywhere and Kentish Opera.

His repertoire includes Tonio (La fille du régiment), Ramiro (La Cenerentola), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Alfredo (La traviata), Tamino (The Magic Flute), Orpheus (Orpheus in the Underworld), Nanki-Poo (The Mikado), Frederic (The Pirates of Penzance), Ralph Rackstraw (H.M.S. Pinafore) and Ferrando (Così fan tutte).

His repertoire ranges from the high-lying, agile demands of the bel canto and coloratura repertoire to the comic and theatrical world of Gilbert and Sullivan and operetta.

Gregorian

Since 2019, Tristan has toured internationally as a vocalist with the German ensemble Gregorian, performing to audiences around the world.

Alongside his work as a singer, he has taken on additional creative and musical responsibilities, serving as Capellmeister (Choir Master) on two tours and Dance Captain on two further tours. He also choreographed Mea Culpa for the group's 2026 US tour.

His work with Gregorian has provided an opportunity to explore a very different performance style, combining vocal performance, movement and theatrical presentation on an international stage.
